Programme Outline
The international, two-step programme of study (M.Sc.) „Internet Technologies and Information Systems“ (ITIS) is held in the English language and is jointly supported by the Faculties of Computer Sciences of the universities Braunschweig, Clausthal, Göttingen and Hanover.
The programme supplements the courses of studies of Computer Science at the participating universities. It is based on jointly offered courses of the four cooperating universities with use of teleteaching and e-learning. This enables a broad spectrum of courses in the area of Internet technologies and information systems while simultaneously concentrating on these current and important subject areas.
The programme content especially deals with Internet technologies, information systems, networks, grid technology, and related topics. Students also have the possibility of specialising in Telecommunication Business & Law. The contents of the Master’s and consecutive doctoral programme are oriented towards the profile of the work group in which the student is accepted. There is an elective compulsory section of the Master’s progamme in which students must select from a specified offer and additionally an elective section in which students can correspondingly select courses to prepare for the research task of their work group. The project paper and Master’s thesis will also help students in this preparation.
